Live music and touring have been on lockdown and fans as well as artists are going through withdrawals. We wanted to come up with something fun to help bridge that distance between fans and artists right now. What we came up with is something called The Lockdown Lowdown and it’s a Q&A session with fun questions for artists to answer. They’re not your typical interview questions, so it gives you a peek inside of the artists themselves. We’re big music nerds here at I’m Music Magazine and we love learning things like this about the artists that we love. We’re pretty sure that you’ll get a kick out of these, so we hope you’ll take the time to read them. In this installment, we sat down for a fun Q&A session with Caesar from Zero Theorem.
How have you been doing during the pandemic and how are you spending your time?
It’s been important to maintain some sense of normalcy when possible. Obviously, the pandemic has greatly affected the music industry, among many other aspects of life, and it’s been difficult without the opportunity to tour. We’ve all been focusing on different things, whether it’s other jobs, home maintenance, music lessons, writing, or spending time with immediate family
Have you been working on new music?
Definitely. We’ve been doing what’s possible remotely and spending time in the studio when necessary. We just released our new EP “The Killing II”, with a new video for the focus track, “Joke”.

Life on the road: 5 of your craziest/funniest/scariest tour stories
Nothing too crazy has happened to date – but some interesting highlights have included hitting our bandwagon on a bridge in New York, stopping in the middle of a field in Iowa so we could drive golf balls over a random pond at 3:00 am; our tour manager carrying us over his shoulders on occasion; and some classic rounds of drunk bowling.

Best and worst advice you ever heard:
Vocally, the best advice I’ve heard is “sound like yourself and be comfortable inside your own voice.”
Regarding the music industry in general, the worst career advice I’ve heard is “just make it about the music.” In 2021, this couldn’t be more wrong – you have to work hard to engage with the fans on a regular basis, and try to help them “connect the dots” to your music as much as you can. There are a TON of releases that come out every week – and trying to make sure your music stands out and is heard is a never-ending process.
Strangest thing you ever autographed
I signed someone’s face. I’m not sure if it became a Tattoo or not….
If music was over today and you had to go into professional wrestling, what would your wrestling name be?
Haha! Actually, I was part of a tag team in my youth called The Flying Smashers. I suppose now I would just roll with Caesar and use the Roman Empire thematically for my character. My finishing move could be a submission hold called The Coliseum, because you don’t want to be in there. Tell WWE or AWE to call me!
