Loverboy has the opening slot on the Live and Unzoomed Tour co-headlined by STYX and REO Speedwagon. The tour made a stop in Raleigh, North Carolina at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek (I think the venue could use a few more names). The venue amphitheater had a pretty good sized crowd when Loverboy hit the stage and they hit it blazin’! They opened witrh “Notorious” and lead singer Mike Reno sounded amazing plus, the band sounded tight. The guys were killin’ it and I was lovin’ every minute of it (pun intended). Mother Nature has been a thorn in many show’s sides this summer touring season. You could tell the wind was starting to pick up a few songs into their set. After “The Kid Is Hot Tonite,” the fourth song of their set, they suddenly went to their closer “Working For The Weekend.” A storm was in the area and they were going to have to halt the show. Damn you Mother Nature! So, on this night we only got five songs from the guys, but damn they were good. Let’s hope that Loverboy get to come back to North Carolina (preferably Raleigh) for a longer show in the near future. I’m Music Magazine Owner/Editor Johnny Price was there and gave us the review and awesome shots!
