Lorna Shore released their fourth studio album Pain Remains on October 14, 2022 via Century Media Records. We were absolutely stoked to catch them recently on their headline tour when they hit up Piedmont Hall in Greensboro, North Carolina. This show was sold-out within 2 days on going on sale. We got there that evening to the absolute biggest line we have ever seen standing outside this venue. It circled the parking lot, it went a loooong ways down the block. Everyone was excited! We found out from the fans who managed to get inside and rush to the barricade they had been standing in line since 11:00 that morning in anticipation of this show!

The tour had a huge line up including Boundaries, Bodysnatcher, BRAND OF SACRIFICE, and Shadow Of Intent. When it was finally time for Lorna Shore to hit the stage you’d think the crowd might be exhausted by now. All I can say is if they were, they sure as hell weren’t showing it! The crowd only got more ramped up when the band hit the stage and dove straight into “Welcome Back O’ Sleeping Dreamer.” Lorna Shore would treat the crowd to songs from their latest album Pain Remains plus tracks from their …And I Return To Nothingness EP. After the band concluded their regular set, the lights went out and these fans were definitely not ready for this night to be over. After a few minutes chanting for an encore, the stage would light up and the band came out for a blistering version of “To The Hellfire” to the end the show.

Sometimes people leave before an encore, but this was one of those cases where that absolutely did not happen! If you missed this tour, you definitely don’t want miss their upcoming tour with Mastodon and Gojira which starts April 18th.
