Tonight, Breaking Benjamin will be at Charleston Coliseum & Convention Center in WV for the start of a huge headline tour where they have brought along Bush and Another Day Dawns. Last week we had the honor of catching a sneak preview of this amazing tour when Breaking Benjamin hit up House of Blues Myrtle Beach with openers Another Day Dawns. As you can imagine, this was a much smaller and more intimate venue than we normally get to catch the guys at so this show sold-out long ahead of time!

We got to the venue that night over an hour before doors were set to open and there was a huge line of fans already waiting in the rain to get inside! But were they leaving their spots? Hell no! Since most of the venue is general admission, they were fully prepared to withstand any rain just to get to the front of the stage! Luckily the weather didn’t get too bad and the fans didn’t have much wait before they were able to pile into the venue for the show.

Another Day Dawns hit the stage right on time and completely blew everyone away with their set. There was only a small break in between before time for Breaking Benjamin to hit the stage. This crowd was not going anywhere and were chanting while waiting for the band to hit the stage. The guys came out to a huge applause and dove straight into “Blow Me Away,” a single from way back in 2004.

The band would play for about an hour and half and vocalist Benjamin Burnley could be seen multiple times through out the show smiling and clearly overwhelmed by the incredibly enthusiastic crowd that sang back to him word for word during every single song all night. It was even more special since his son Ben was right behind him all night on stage playing guitar right along with his dad. They would joke later about whether he wanted to go home or stay on tour with his dad. He and the full crowd wanted him to stay!

They also took a moment to celebrate lead guitarist Jasen Rauch‘s birthday with a full audience serenade and some cake! The whole night really felt like a huge celebration and not anyone was truly ready to leave when the band ended on their mega-hit “The Diary of Jane.” But everyone in attendance was surely glad they just got to be a part of it!
