British Rockers’ The Treatment have released their fifth studio album, Waiting for Good Luck via AFM Records on April 9th.

The album was produced by much revered producer Laurie Mansworth (AirRace) and mixed by engineer Kevin Shirley (Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin). This is the first album to feature new bassist Andy Milburn, and the second to feature vocalist Tom Rampton. The Treatment first formed in 2008, and released its debut This Might Hurt in 2011, followed by Running with the Dogs (2014), Generation Me (2016), and Power Crazy (2019). They have gone on to complete successful tours with iconic figures in the industry such as Motley Crue, KISS, Alice Cooper, and Steel Panther.

Waiting for the Good Luck is 12 tracks of fist-pumping, energetic, ballsy classic rock. “Rat Race” starts things off with a genuine anthem for the ages with hook-laden choruses, groovy riffs and, relatable lyrics. It is the perfect start for this rollicking rollercoaster. Next Up is “Take It or Leave It,” another fun throwback to the 80s. It is not difficult to recognize where the lads derive their influences from. Tom Rampton conveys the charisma of a young Def Leppard singer Joe Elliot as he confidently enthuses over each track.

“Devil in the Detail” is a melodic track with groove- orientated riffs that has a commercially assessable appeal. The vocals are warm and emotional, with a tasty solo thrown in. “Tough Kid” feels like another slow, bluesy number straight from the 80s book of song writing. This ballad strikes through to the heart with a topic many people can empathize with about wanting somewhere to belong. “Let’s Make Money” is a tough –as- nails rocker stuffed full of attitude, swagger, and hypnotic harmonies in the final third. And finally, “Wrong Way” completes this fascinating journey for the Brits. Powerful vocals blend with searing guitars, and plenty of singalong tunes to keep one satisfied.

Waiting for The Good Luck sees The Treatment deliver a serious statement of intent with unforgettable tunes, intricate song writing and music that sticks in the ear long afterwards.
