Camden-based band, The Dizzy Ducks, have released their newest single, “Slide.” This enigmatic, femme fatale inspired track is not for the faint of heart as its smooth tune and grinding rhythm delves into a mysterious encounter with a stranger and the entanglement destined to follow.

The initial seductive, yet playful duet between Mark’s bass and Cat’s vocals immediately draws you in as the story unfolds both lyrically and musically.

Michael’s drums then creep in, a pulsating beat inviting your hips to sway, as Jon’s hypnotic guitar tickles your senses, drawing you deeper into the song’s spell.

The Dizzy Ducks have not let up on their plan to consistently release music throughout 2024, having only released “Love You Not” in February.

“Slide” is the perfect song to reflect their musical versatility with its smooth groove juxtaposing their previous upbeat pop rock single. Cat reflects on the meaning behind the song:

“This song is from the perspective of a temptress, luring in the unsuspecting men that stumble into her hunting ground. She is a black widow spider, irresistible to her prey, with a clear warning ignored by every man who believes they will be the one to tame her; little do they know that she will leave them ruined, forever craving her and never able to claim her.”

The band has consistently performed for its fans in multiple venues all over greater Sydney and Canberra, with interstate gigs lined up in Melbourne this month for the single release.

“This band has got something special and you need to get listening to them!”
