Inspired by industry legends Lzzy Hale, Joan Jett, Pink, Pat Benatar and Avril Lavigne, 20-year-old Australian rocker Cassidy Paris just released her debut album, New Sensation on Frontiers Music.

It’s great to hear that she’s on a mission to inspire a new generation of fans to not only listen to rock and roll, but to pick up a guitar instead of a phone!

Cassidy has always strived to deliver a strong message through her music. In 2018, she released “Stand,” a heartfelt song about young women standing up for themselves. And she continues to deliver that message as an active voice for the worldwide “Metalheads Against Bullying” organization.

New Sensation starts off strong with “Danger” and “RNR Hearts.” Both are straightforward rockers with catchy hooks, great melodies and vocals reminiscent of many of Cassidy’s rock heroes.

The third track, “Here I Am” is a radio-friendly, bluesy power ballad. This one highlights Cassidy’s raspy vocal range and shines a bright spotlight on her talent. My favorite song on the album by far.

“Walking on Fire” is the definition of power pop and can compete with anything that’s topping the charts today. It should be the next single.

If you appreciate tasty guitar licks and memorable solos, check out “Song for the Broken Hearted.” It has exactly what you’re looking for in a modern rock song.

This is an album chock full of anthemic rock and pop goodness. “Addicted” is a great example. A super-cool guitar riff and sing-in-the-shower chorus that almost sounds like it was recorded live.

Cassidy’s tour dates at the moment only include the UK, but if we’re lucky, we’ll see her and her band here in the states very soon.

She’s anchored by Steve Janevski and Dave Graham on guitars; Alessandro Del Vecchio on bass, keyboards, guitars and backing vocals; Mirko De Maio on drums; and Paul Laine on backing vocals.

Cassidy’s team is branding her as the “Next Generation of Rock.” After listening to “New Sensation,” they may just be onto something. We will definitely be hearing more from this talented, young artist in the future. Go get ‘em, Cassidy!
