Powerman 5000 is back with Abandon Ship, their follow-up to 2020’s The Noble Rot. The album consists of all-new electrifying, original tracks produced by Matt McJunkins (A Perfect Circle/Eagles of Death Metal). The first single, “1999,” is an apocalyptic industrial dance party with Frontman Spider One leading the pack.
The leading track, “Invisible Man” is fun and captivating. The groovy, driving guitars with the high-energy chorus make this an industrial metal anthem for the masses.
The stand-out track is the thrilling, industrial pop “Dancing Like We’re Dead.” A rousing dance song that will become the next hit with their fans.
The heavy, dark track “The Company Loves Misery,” is another highlight on the album. Spider One’s signature growls build into powerful screams making for another end-of-the-world dance party.
Abandon Ship is an exciting mix of catchy industrial metal dance anthems with profoundly grim themes.
