Some people bought themselves an early Christmas gift to see the iconic Cheap Trick in concert at the Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Hollywood, Florida on 11/18. It was one week before Christmas and everyone in the room seemed to be pretty jolly whether with or without the assistance of some tasty adult beverages. The house was packed and full of energy; they couldn’t wait for the guys to hit the stage. The band did not disappoint as the band played staples from the Cheap Trick catalog including “Dream Police, “I Want You To Want Me” and “Surrender.” Fans were treated to Robin’s son, Robin Taylor Zander, taking over lead vocals on the song “Downed.” It was yet another show by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members where they seem as if they tapped into some secret formula for youthfulness. You younsters who are learning how to play and honing in on your skills, you need to watch these guys so you can learn a few things. A full setlist follows our photo gallery.
