Brooklyn/Queens-based band 95 Bulls debuts aggressive new single called “Gin Shot.”
“Gin Shot” is a driving garage-punk sucker punch with neo-psych flair. Serving as the first single from the
forthcoming LP Canadian Nightclub, it has all the raw energy that fans have grown to expect, but explores
more ominous and aggressive territory. Influenced by acts like Osees & Lost Sounds, “Gin Shot” is an
unwavering testament to the off-kilter, magnetic, and chaotic world that is Canadian Nightclub.
Emily (vocals) explains, “We wanted to recreate the feeling of the looming thoughts that get louder before
acting out and being thrown into a manic spiral.”
While the rhythm section churns in an almost mechanical frenzy, the vocals, guitar, and keys are left to
experiment and play off one another; ranging from air-raid sirens, guttural calls, and melodic hooks, the
sonic palette is as vibrant as it is foreboding.

Canadian Nightclub
“Canadian Nightclub” harkens back to the classic rock and roll concept album with a modern ear to the ground. We start our journey following our reluctant radio show host Pancho, who stumbled upon the record in a bin by his flat: The listener shares the experience of a faded demented disc jockey’s journey from cynical confusion to wonderment, as the album crescendos from the blast off “It was Rough” to the bombastic conclusion “Blown Out”.
Pancho’s narration ties the songs of Canadian Nightclub together. Weaving between themes of disenchantment and betrayal, to self-loathing and grief, he delivers the cheeky wink and a nod that never lets the record become too self-serious. Canadian Nightclub is a calculated musical barrage filled with energy, melody, dissonance, and drama; expected everywhere June 20th, 2025.
More info on 95 Bulls:
95 Bulls are a Brooklyn/ Queens-based band that blend garage-punk, psych, post-punk, and synth-wave
into an electrifying sonic assault. With driving, fuzzed-out guitar, ominous subharmonic bass tones, and
searing-synth anxiety, 95 Bulls channel the raw energy of their DIY roots, while pushing the boundaries of
modern rock.
Fronted by charismatic vocal powerhouse, Emily Ashenden, 95 Bulls effortlessly captures the chaos of
city life, weaving dark, evocative lyrics through anthemic vocals that command melody. Drawing
comparisons to bands like Lost Sounds, dark DEVO, or an “aggro B-52s” (Deli Mag), the band’s whirlwind
of overdrive, feedback, and manic rhythms spark the listener’s urges to both fight, and take flight.
Their live shows are a visceral experience—a mix of primal energy and exuberant chaos.
