Los Angeles punk-ska-funk trailblazers Fishbone are set to release their highly anticipated ninth studio album, Stockholm Syndrome, on June 27. This marks the band’s first full-length LP in nearly two decades, delivering their signature high-energy sound with sharp social commentary. Presave it here Stockholm Syndrome.
The band has paved the way for the album with the release of songs, “Last Call in America,” co-written by original members Christopher Dowd and Walter “Dirty Walt” Kibby and featuring the legendary George Clinton. Another notable track is “Racist Piece of Shit” (aka “RxPxOxS”) released in November of 2024, a searing critique of global racism that showcases Fishbone’s fearless engagement with political and social issues.

Stockholm Syndrome is filled with tracks that provoke thought as much as make you want to get up and dance. The album is produced by Fishbone, Aryon Davis, and Chris McGrew, with mixing by Cameron Webb. The album’s artwork is crafted by renowned artist Chris Shary. The CD version includes a bonus track titled “My God Is Better Than You’re Gawd.”
In anticipation of the album’s release, Fishbone just wrapped up a European tour where they played to capacity crowds. They will follow it up with U.S. dates as part of Less Than Jake’s Summer Circus tour. They will also perform at select stops of the Vans Warped Tour 2025, including appearances in Washington, D.C., and Long Beach, CA.
Pre-orders for Stockholm Syndrome are available now through Fishbone’s official website, with options including CD, vinyl, and exclusive bundles featuring a T-shirt and other merchandise.
