With their latest EP release, Seven, Deadlands is stomping through the heavy music scene like a beast with an agenda to break its metalcore foot  over your ass… in the best possible way! The powerhouse duo of vocalist Kasey Karlsen and CJ Arey (aka NO SHADE) delivers a sound that’s explosive, dynamic, and built for maximum impact.

This latest release is a sonic thrill ride—pounding drums, chest-thumping bass, and blade-sharp guitar riffs, all neatly wrapped in a groove that could level tall buildings with a single pound.

The opening track “Villain” sets the tone straight away. Karlsen’s clean vocals shine rich, commanding, and melodic; but it’s her ability to shift into guttural screams and sinister growls that truly stuns. That kind of duality isn’t just a party trick; it’s executed with precision and purpose.

“Die in Paradise” takes that contrast and cranks it up. It’s heavy. It’s haunting. It’s the kind of song you feel as much as you hear.

Other standout tracks like “Kundalini” and “More” keep the pressure applied with relentless low-end grooves and riffs that smack like a sonic sledgehammer. The precise, linguistic delivery “Kundalini” delivers deserves to be checked out!

“Wither” just doesn’t let up! It keeps the groove-heavy, gear- changing chaos peppered with bold guitar riffery, face-melting vocal dynamics, and machine gun double bass that hits like a demolition crew. If King Kong and Godzilla decided to throw a stomp party in the middle of the city, this track would be blasting from the speakers.

Every element in Karlsen and Arey’s latest offering is given room to breathe, strike, and stick the landing with force. Hitting hard and leaving a mark, SEVEN BY Deadlands doesn’t just bring the noise—it brings the artillery.

Pure mayhem!

We’re here for every second of it!

I am excited to see what this band brings on stage.

This is music that hits hard, stays with you, and leaves you wanting more.

Dave over and out!
