Better Than Ezra Rocks Downtown Winston-Salem, NC

Coalpit Live brought the party of the season last week while celebrating Incendiary Brewing Company‘s 7th anniversary. These 2 bring loads of live entertainment to North Carolina, Incendiary Brewing has opened 4 locations and in 2021 they also launched a Summer Concert Series, Coalpit Live. You can come in for some drinks and be treated by live performances.

To mark Incendiary Brewing‘s 7th anniversary, they hosted a big event featuring Better Than Ezra, Crenshaw Pentecostal, and Just Gophers. If that’s not enough, the concert is actually free for the public. And since this event was expected to bring in an even bigger crowd, they moved it across the street to Bailey Park, which is located in downtown Winston-Salem, NC.

When we got there just before show time, fans had already filled Bailey Park. They were hanging out, there were lots of families, lots of relaxing, and loads of music!! Just Gophers got the show started that evening. Just Gophers is a rock band located in Winston-Salem, NC and really had no issues getting this crowd already up and dancing. Next up on the stage came Crenshaw Pentecostal, which is actually one of our favorites from the area. We’ve gotten the chance to see this band play a few times now and they always bring a huge show to every single stage they play!

The sun was setting just in time for Better Than Ezra to finally take the stage. Earlier in the day fans were hanging in their lawn chairs with some standing up and dancing along. By this time though, everyone was moving up as close as they could to the stage just in time for the night’s headliner. Better Than Ezra came out on stage and dove straight into “In The Blood” off of their 1995 album, Deluxe. This album has just celebrated it’s 30th anniversary, but fans still love it today. It’s absolutely stood the test of time. Better Than Ezra played a huge 16-song set that night spanning most albums they’ve released, but they still dropped in a few covers. I don’t think anyone truly stopped singing along all night.
