Widely regarded as the Godfather of Funk, George Clinton is a singular visionary whose influence reshaped the sound and direction of modern music, leaving an indelible mark on funk, hip-hop, rock, R&B, and beyond. His career honors include induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, Grammy Salute to Music Legends, Songwriters Hall of Fame, and Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as recognition by Rolling Stone as one of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, a #6 Top Band of All Time ranking by SPIN Magazine, honorary membership in Omega Psi Phi, and an Honorary Doctor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music.

The festival also commemorates the 50th anniversary of the P-Funk Mothership, one of the most iconic symbols in live music history. Originally unveiled during the 1976 P-Funk Earth Tour, the Mothership was designed by legendary lighting and stage designer Jules Fisher and redefined concert stagecraft and Afrofuturist storytelling. Today, the original Mothership is celebrated as a cultural artifact and is featured at the Smithsonian Institution.

Don’t miss out on this celebration of music, community, history, and the unstoppable funk that changed the world. Ain’t no party like a P-Funk party.
