Stephen Pearcy, the unmistakable voice behind 80’s hard rock legends RATT, rolled into The Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT.  last night (4/5/25) and brought the Sunset Strip with him, as well as original RATT lead guitarist Warren DeMartini for the first time in seven years. After announcing their reunion and an appearance at the M3 Rock Festival, the two kicked off their Invasion Celebration 2025 tonight.

Pearcy owned the stage swagger that hasn’t aged a day and a setlist stacked with sleaze-rock anthems, Pearcy proved he’s still got plenty of bite.

The show opened with a bang— “Wanted Man” set the tone, and the crowd, mostly made up of die-hard fans in vintage RATT t-shirts, was all in from the first riff. Pearcy strutted across the stage with his signature snarl, backed by a tight band (Carlos Cavazo on guitar, Blas Elias on drums and Matt Thorne on bass) that clearly knows how to bring the RATT sound to life. Every Warren DeMartini guitar lick screamed 1985, and that’s exactly what the fans came for.

Highlights of the night included thunderous renditions of “Lack of Communication,” “Slip of the Lip,” and of course, the massive hit “Round and Round.” Pearcy’s voice has weathered some, but in a gritty, rock-n-roll kind of way—it suits the material even more now, like fine whiskey with a rough edge.

For fans of old-school metal, it was everything they wanted: loud, raw, unapologetically glam, and delivered with heart. Stephen Pearcy isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel—he’s here to keep it spinning. And last night, he did just that.

If you’re a child of the 80’s or just someone who knows that rock should come with hair, attitude, and killer hooks, catch Stephen Pearcy while he’s still rattin’ and rollin’.
