Eternal sleaze rockers’ Buckcherry are back with their tenth studio album, aptly titled Vol. 10, released a few weeks ago via Round Hill Records.

The band has made a few lineup changes since 2021′s Black Butterfly, with the acquisitions of drummer Francis Ruiz and Jetboy’s Billy Rowe on guitar as a replacement for Kevin Roentgen. Last November, band went straight into Sienna Studios to record the follow-up. Martin Fredriksen is the producer again.

The lead vocalist Joshua Todd promises an album full of “no fillers—a great record from beginning to end.” The album gets off to a flying start with the cool blues-influenced ‘This and That,” with the usual swashbuckler riffs and hook-laden choruses Buckcherry fans have expected over these past ten albums. Next up is the gutsy rock and roller ‘Good Time” with its no-holds-barred party anthem and in-your-face lyrics.

They certainly aim to deliver their best album to date, with each track stuffed full of full-throttle rock songs that grab the listener by the throat. Moreover, ‘Keep on Fighting’ is a heavy track full of aggressive riffs and defiance. This is a sign of maturity from the band that shows they are unafraid to change things up a bit. It isn’t to say the band has changed altogether, with the usual angst-ridden rock found on ‘Turn It On’ and ‘ One and Only’. Nevertheless, I feel this is a typical Buckcherry album with more riffs, more soul-searching, and more songs to sing along to.

And finally, the adrenaline-fueled ‘Let’s Get Wild’ with its blues boogie guitar lines, the Scorpions-esque grooves of ‘With You,” and a cover of the Bryan Adams classic ‘Summer of ’69’ complete Vol 10. Overall, Buckcherry delivers another action-packed album of raucous rock and roll with tales of debauchery.
