Collective Soul released their highly anticipated 12th album Here to Eternity on May 17th via Fuzze-Flex Records/AMPED Distribution/Virgin Music Group. The 20 song, double album was produced by Singer E. Roland and co-produced by Shawn Grove at Elvis Presley’s estate in Palm Springs.
A stand-out track on the album is “Bluer Than So Blue.” The guitar-driven song gives off high-energy 90’s rock vibes with Ed Roland’s powerful voice and a catchy chorus.
The full-throttle “Hey Man,” is a groovy, guitar track. Ed Roland’s commanding vocals demonstrate the band is still going strong after 30 years as he sings, “Hey Man, I’m taking back what’s mine.”
The uplifting “Who Loves” is a fun, catchy stadium anthem. The song takes the listener on an 80’s journey reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty.
Roland’s storytelling in “No Man’s Land” is captivating. The song’s powerful guitars build into the chorus making this a memorable track.
Here to Eternity is an impressive rock album packed full of deep storytelling and superb musicianship. The album is an excellent way to celebrate Collective Soul’s 30 years together.
