Now, five years later, they are back with a three song EP Alive, released on 5/13. Love, life and loss is at the forefront of this EP. Looking at the Lyrics of the title track:

“Give up on this war

Lay your bullets down

What are we fighting for?

Does it matter now?

Are we killing in the name of love?

I can’t remember why

Are we loving that we’ve given up?

It’s all a lie

Tell me when you’ve had too much

‘Cause I’ve had enough

I’ve had enough

Don’t let this moment pass us by

Let’s feel like we’re alive”

We’re all fighting our own war with ourselves and our loved ones. When will we be done fighting? Fighting for love for survival. When will we stop and say it’s enough. Through all this we forget to enjoy small moments, moments of beauty moments to live and feel alive.

“Don’t speak too loud

“It’s over”

But we can dream

Make new memories

Love is all I pray

Won’t fade away

Until we are alive

Until we feel alive

Or end

So feel your heart beating

‘Cause times only fleeting”

When did we stop dreaming? Troubles is everywhere in every thing. When will we stop to think and fight about wat is gone and walls broken down. Let’s all deside to make new memories, love and feel your beating heart as this song says… “Time is only fleeting.”

With their old school sound and this new EP Dishwalla is sure to keep and build on their timeless appeal.
