L.A.-based alternative powerhouse Luna Aura released her third EP The Fiction on September 14th. A follow-up to 2022’s EP Sweet Sensation, Luna defies all musical boundaries combining elements of rock, alternative rock, indie pop, and punk to create her unique sound. Writing and performing songs since age 14, the music of Garbage, Nine Inch Nails, Hole, and Gwen Stefani inspired her.

The first single, “Money Bag,” released April 27th is an energetic, in-your-face indie pop/punk anthem. The guitar-heavy, catchy track is about taking back what’s yours as Luna screams, “Get what’s mine!”

“Lost in the Fiction,” is a stand-out track with Luna’s dynamic and commanding vocals. She describes the song as being about, “… getting lost in your own ego and chasing an unrealistic idea of yourself.” Luna’s strong rock vocals combined with crunchy guitars and driving drumbeats show Garbage’s influence on her music.

The alt-rock track, “Candy Colored Daydream,” has a trippy, dreamy vibe filled with distorted guitars and Luna’s captivating vocals. She shares the song, “… is about my relationship with magic mushrooms, and how they’ve given me the confidence and courage to be authentically myself in a world full of actors.”

“Blind” is another highlight on the EP. The song is perfection, mixing alt-rock and indie pop sounds with Luna’s top-notch songwriting skills and vocal range.

The EP concludes with “Cut and Run.” Rowdy with instant appeal, the song will sure to be popular at her live shows with the audience singing along.
