Rock Supergroup Revolution Saints return with a new line-up and new album. Eagle Flight was released on April 21st via Frontiers Music S.R.L. The fourth outing for Deen Castronovo (Journey) as lead vocalist features recruits Bassist Jeff Pilson (Foreigner/Dokken) and Guitarist Jeff Hoekstra (Whitesnake/Joel Hoekstra’s 13/Trans-Siberian Orchestra).

Produced by Alessandro Del Vecchio, the ‘MK II’ line-up promises to excite lifelong fans, still moving on from the departures of Doug Aldrich on guitar and Bassist/Vocalist Jack Blades. Eagle Flight is 48 minutes long and packs enough melodic tracks to keep those eager fans invested. “Eagle Flight” is a poignant opener with a strong string arrangement and keys. The instrumentation compliments Castronovo’s soaring vocals. Next is “Talking Like Strangers” with its delicious hooks and a dynamic guitar sound, courtesy of Hoekstra’s muscular riffs.

Joel Hoekstra and Jeff Pilson are ideal picks as they slot right in and elevate Castronovo as a vocalist. The band formed for this reason, so it is good business. The retrospective “Kids Will Be Kids” is such an example. Deen Castronovo’s vocals are warm and reflective, alongside the subtle bassline of Pilson and Hoekstra’s rhythmic guitar work.

The album marks a change of direction for Revolution Saints with a sound reminiscent of Journey. It may suit Castronovo. Other highlights to listen out for are the radio-friendly “Crime of The Century” with its huge chorus, solos, and screeching keyboards.

Overall, Revolution Saints hope to please its fanbase and beyond with ten tracks of easy -on –the- ear rock songs.
