On September 12th, Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper brought their Freaks On Parade Tour to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Accompanied with the bands Filter and Ministry, the lineup was stacked with heavy hitting acts. The energy started high with Filter opening up playing hits such as “Take a Picture” and the ever intense “Hey Man, Nice Shot.” Handing over the baton, Ministry was next up bringing the heavy to the crowd warming us up perfectly for The Godfather of Shock Rock. Alice Cooper blended music and theater in perfect harmony as he busted through the “Alice Cooper Banned in Tennessee” newspaper backdrop twirling his cane (and crutches). Nita Strauss shared the stage with him and blew us away with her insanely good tone and stage presence. Alice showered the crowd in Alice Bucks and even had a live snake wrapped around him for a song. The most intense part was the beheading that happened to him during the show. Headlining this insane show was Rob Zombie. The master of horror himself dazzled the audience playing some classic hits off of Hellbilly Deluxe. I personally had never seen so much pyro in a show before as the entire stage was lit up with images of fire and actual fire during “Superbeast.” Mike Riggs was on stage for this tour and amplified Rob’s set to uncharted territories. Rob Zombie even came out in a Nashville Predators jersey which fired up the 11,000 in attendance. Go see this tour if it comes close to you, here are some photos of the show:
