Los Angeles metal band Fused By Defiance released their new single “Villain” to all major platforms along with the official lyric video. The band has announced tour dates this fall in support of W.O.R..
The unadulterated ball of defiant energy known as Fused By Defiance (FxD), blends heavy riff driven rock, metal and rap with socially conscious lyrics. This dominant force continues to rise in popularity due to their memorable songs and highly energetic live performances. With the intention of social progress, this fearless five-piece has a reputation for defying the status quo in such an electric way that listeners are inspired to open their minds.
FxD has opened for acts Nonpoint, Puddle of Mudd, Crazy Town, Fear Factory, Eyes Set To Kill, The Offspring, P.O.D., Alien Ant Farm and more. They have also performed at Van’s Warped Tour and SoCal’s Sobroso Fest.

We sat down with Fused By Defiance vocalist Taj for a short, but fun Q&A session!
Every superhero or villain has an origin and a band is no different minus the radioactive spiders and secret government experiments. What is the origin of Fused By Defiance?
Fused By Defiance started in a garage back in 2012 by co-founders Arnold and Kevin. Both had the idea of bringing the almost extinct Nu-Metal sub-genre back and recruiting members who believed in the idea.
Band names can have a meaning or it can be a name pulled out of a hat. What’s the story behind Fused By Defiance?
Fused by Defiance represents a blending of cultures, ideas, and states of being connected on the premise of defiance. This name was created to take all fights of oppression and blend them to fight for equality.
What are you currently working on?
We started our tour on 10/17 and we are prepared to melt our fans’ faces with some new tunes and old jams!
Who was your first celebrity crush?
Definitely Taylor Lautner #teamjacob anyone who says team edward is simply lying.
