“Captures the vitality and attitude, as well as the sheer groove and grit of Bad Mary as a live experience.”
— The Big Takeover
With live audio pulled directly from the board and every chaotic, joyful moment captured by the videographer, Live on Long Island offers both a high-octane record and a visual feast. Guitarist David Henderson spearheaded the creation of live videos for each track and a complete concert film. “We write our music first and foremost to be performed live,” says bassist Mike Staub. “We want to have a good time playing, and we want to perform songs that are equally fun for the audience. We’re all in the show together.”
“A visceral reminder of what makes Bad Mary such a beloved fixture in the scene… the perfect gateway into a band that thrives where many fear to tread.”
— Music Existence
The band — Amanda Mac (vocals), Mike Staub (bass), Bill Mac (drums), and David Henderson (guitar) have long been known for their high-energy performances and infectious spirit.
This release captures their evolution with songs spanning every era of their discography, including tracks from Killing Dinosaurs (2015) like “Soap Box,” “Hanging Around,” and “Want What I Want,” as well as “Trouble” and “Marz Attaqx” from We Could Have Saved the World (2016). Songs like “Space Girl,” “Don’t Know Where the Line Is,” “Forget About It,” and “Ninja” hail from 2014’s Better Days, while 2017’s Glitter Bomb is represented by “Japan.” More recent cuts include “Vibe-Icide,” “Are You With The Band?” and “It’s All Trash” from 2023’s Trash & Glamour, and “The Itch” and “Disaster Party” from The Return of Space Girl (2019), with both “Disaster Party” and “Want What I Want” also appearing on Mega Bad Disaster Party (2024). The band also pays homage to their roots with a fiery cover of “Tie Your Mother Down” from Rock and Roll Classics Vol. 7 (2022).
“Pure adrenaline… you will not be able to stop dancing or chanting.”

“These 16 songs represent our journey,” adds Staub, “from our first album to our newest originals — with all the live energy and crowd reactions we thrive on.”
