Rising pop darling Bella Rios just released her new single “Overthinker” as well as announced her Sophomore EP.
Rios is a Gen Z pop powerhouse that channels her witty personality into her deeply relatable songwriting. The new single is an electrifying anthem for anyone who spends a little too much time inside their own head. Blending airy melodies, Bella’s soaring vocals, and a high-energy production “Overthinker” finds Rios confronting her anxiety head on. “Overthinker” comes on the heels of recently released single “Right Now” which got love from 1883 Magazine, and later this spring she’ll release her sophomore EP the follow up to her debut EP Sincerely,. which features fan favorite “Ever After”. After graduating Princeton this spring, Bella will move to NYC to continue developing her artistry and perform locally.
Hailing from the vibrant city of Chicago and now based in the musical crucible of Nashville, Bella Rios’ musical journey started at five years old when she first began learning classical piano. Along the way, she soaked up her parents’ collection of musical greats like Queen, Fleetwood Mac, and Aerosmith, as well as contemporary icons like Adele, P!nk, and Lady Gaga. This mix of pop-rock influences is imbued in the singer-songwriter’s fearless music — especially on her debut EP, Sincerely,, which SPIN Magazine described as having “sincere yet cutting lyrics [that] tackle the ups and downs of love and the mental anguish that goes along with it.” Bella’s lyrics, which deal with topics like the euphoria of love, crushing lows of heartbreak, and the vertigo-inducing peaks and valleys of mental health, are relatably clear-headed and exceedingly fun to sing along to. She’ll release her sophomore EP later this year, featuring newest single “Right Now” as well as previously released single “Options”. Bella’s music landed on TIDAL’s New Arrivals & Pop: Rising playlists; on MTV’s Spankin’ New, received support from Live Nation’s Ones To Watch via their #NowWatching playlist and can be heard in the Hulu Original movie Prom Dates.
