Broadside took the stage to a packed house at Empire Live in Albany, NY, on April 18, the second of four bands in the lineup for Silverstein’s 25 Years of Noise tour. Opening with “Stranger,” Broadside really got the crowd moving, with pits starting to open up and crowd surfers starting to appear. Following up with “Cruel,” “King of Nothing,” and “One Last Time,” they kept the energy high and the crowd moving (well, as much as a crowd can move in a sold out show). Singer Oliver Baxxter was an absolute beast of a front man, completely owning the stage and going full throttle delivering his lyrics. Next to him, bassist Patrick Diaz put on a show of his own, with his hair flying while absolutely rocking out. Watching most of the show as I did, from a balcony above the crowd, there was not one audience member who wasn’t fully engaged, cheering and singing along, getting involved in the pits, and absolutely reveling in the experience.
