A few years ago, we were worried that Candlebox might be hanging up their boots for good. I was extremely excited to find out that wouldn’t be happening, at least not right now. In 2025, original guitarist Peter Klett rejoined Candlebox after a 10-year hiatus from the band. So, this year, the band celebrated the return of PK and 33 years of Rock & f’n Roll by heading out on the “Can’t Quit You” Tour, surely a nod to the fans about not really quitting on us.
The Can’t Quit You Tour officially launched on February 25, 2026, in Portland, Maine and is set to close on March 21, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri. They’ve already swung by some major cities on this tour playing to loads of fans, including 2 back-to-back sold out shows at The Machine Shop in Detroit, MI. We were beyond excited for the chance to catch this incredible tour this past weekend when they rolled into Charleston Music Hall.
When I arrived at the venue more than an hour before doors were set to open, there was already a pretty decent sized crowd waiting. Charleston Music Hall is located in downtown Charleston, South Carolina. Honestly, it’s a gorgeous venue and there’s really not a bad spot in the place for concert viewing. But it also had a full general admission floor that night and these fans wanted up front. I can’t blame them; it’s really the best place to be. Even if you do have to wait outside in the rain for an hour just to get there. I get it though; I did the exact same thing and waited right along with them!
The band hit the stage right at 9pm and believe me, that room got full quick!! Candlebox came out rocking and dove straight into “Stand” off their 2008 album, Into The Sun. This was quickly followed up by “Arrow” and “Simple Lessons.” If you are a fan of Candlebox, you really want to hit up these headline shows when they have them. Sure, they play everyone’s favorite tunes like “You” and “Far Behind” but they also pull out some surprises every night and really try to hit up every album they’ve made to date. In Charleston, they threw in “No Sense” as a surprise they hadn’t been playing much this tour. Also, opener Nick Brown joined the band on stage during “What Do You Need.”
The entire show was so full of energy, stories, interactions. There was a fan in the crowd celebrating their 130th Candlebox show. I actually caught the tour the night before and got to join in on their VIP session, which included a few songs, a full meet & greet, plus a quick Q & A session. You can tell these guys genuinely love what they do and appreciate their fans, this really conveys in every single performance. It’s always fun, it’s always rocking, and the absolute best time you can have.
While the current tour is only going through March 21, Candlebox does have a few more dates in 2026 announced including some festival appearances. You can check them out on their website below.
