Post-hardcore band Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows (D.R.U.G.S.), featuring Chiodos’ Craig Owens, have announced their third album Until God Shows. The album — their first since 2022’s DESTROY REBUILD and following their 2011-issued, self-titled debut — arrives on September 27th via Velocity Records.
With the announcement, the band also shared the video for the new single “Losers Stay Losers (Let-down).” Speaking about the track Owens says, “it’s a vivid picture of grappling with the emotional aftermath of a significant betrayal and the pain, disillusionment, anger, and distress that you have to face. It speaks to the profound impact the other person’s actions have on your emotional well-being.”
- Until God Shows was produced in Nashville, TN by Michael Whitworth (Jelly Roll, Nothing More, Wage War) & Andrew Baylis (Jelly Roll, Austin Snell, Sleeping With Sirens). Mixing duties were handled by Jonathan Dolese (Emmure, Cane Hill) while mastered by Kris Crummett (Dance Gavin Dance, The Story So Far).
- The band previously released the track and video for “Hunger Pangs,” with the new video being a sequel/extension to that.
- The album’s artwork was created by Singapore-based illustrator / graphic designer Erika Tay, also known as Erikartoon.
- Until God Shows is a high energy, and fun ride through the rollercoaster world of D.R.U.G.S. complete with a backstory, and art to bring every sound and feeling to life.
- D.R.U.G.S. have now surpassed 10 million cumulative streams from the last album DESTROY REBUILD. The album was released in 2022 and touched on topics like destiny, perspective, and redemption.
- Aggressive melodies paired with low-tuned guitars and introspective lyrics created a slab of the nostalgic alternative rock sound that we all grew up with and have come to crave.
Until God Shows will prove to be yet another step in the ongoing evolution of Craig Owens.
