I admit I wasn’t aware I knew so many Howard Jones songs but with each number I was taken back to my love for new wave and 80’s synth pop, even recognizing a song from the game Grand Theft Auto. The Daryl Hall Band’s setlist featured a few Hall & Oates classics like “Private Eyes” and “I Can’t Go For That,” alongside selections from Hall’s solo catalog, providing a thorough path through his collection of timeless hits. The Ryman Auditorium was a perfect venue for this occasion as the historical room accents the songwriting magic of any artists, especially of Daryl Hall’s caliber.
