On the heels of their recent #1 Active Rock single “Artificial” – the band’s first of their career at the format, Daughtry is back with their follow up single. “Pieces” is the second track to be released from the band’s upcoming EP slated for release later this year on Big Machine Label Group. Daughtry is the band fronted by Chris Daughtry and has been winning fans around the globe since he burst on the scene in 2006. The new single “Pieces” is a deeply personal song for Chris as it was written shortly after the loss of his mother and daughter. The evocative lyrics “I’ll never get over it. It’s hard to move on, but I’m learning to live with the pieces of me” are delivered with passion and is sure to be another chart-topping hit for the band. The single will be going for add at radio starting on March 26th and the music video will be released later this month. The new single is available via all major DSP’s and can be found through this link: https://daughtry.lnk.to/PiecesEM.
“At some point in our lives, we will all experience trauma of some kind – something that chips away at the essence of who we are. Sometimes it’s an event so devastating that it shatters our reality and rips a hole through our soul. This is about finding the strength to pick up those broken pieces, face the darkness head on, and fight your way toward the light,” explains Chris Daughtry.
Daughtry has plenty of touring planned for 2024 and will see him play various headline dates while also sharing stages with Breaking Benjamin, Staind, Creed among others the rest of the year. Daughtry, one of the most visible and best-selling rock bands of the 21st century, has sold out concerts across the globe. Their debut album, the self-titled Daughtry, was the top-selling album of 2007 and was the fastest selling rock debut album in Soundscan history. The record was nominated for 4 GRAMMY® Awards and won 4 American Music Awards, alongside 7 Billboard Music Awards, including “Album of the Year.” Subsequent albums, Leave This Town (2009), Break The Spell (2011), and Baptized (2013) have all gone Platinum, with Cage To Rattle (2018) certified Gold. In 2021, the band released their record Dearly Beloved, with singles “World On Fire,” “Heavy Is The Crown,” and “Changes Are Coming,” all cracking the Top 10. Following yet another Top 10 success with their 2023 smash cover of Journey’s “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” featuring Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale, Daughtry ushered in a new sonic era with their debut Big Machine Records single, “Artificial.” The return to their rock roots scored the band their first No. 1 single in the Active Rock format, laying the groundwork for their new EP, set to release this fall.
