Emerging alternative pop duo Tha Flicker is set to unveil their debut music video for “Faded Flowers”, a visually stunning and emotionally charged reflection on a world in decline. Directed by renowned filmmaker Stefano Poletti, the video is released on January 10, 2025, via the independent label Foresta Urbana.

“Faded Flowers” combines ethereal electronic atmospheres with profound lyrics that grapple with the loss of innocence and the consequences of unchecked human greed. The video brings this poignant narrative to life, depicting a lone protagonist navigating a desolate forest—a metaphor for humanity’s fading connection to nature. A hauntingly symbolic television, transmitting images of destruction and chaos, contrasts with moments of lingering hope, underscoring the song’s central message: we still have a chance to turn the tide.

The idea was to create a space where beauty and decay coexist, pushing the viewer to question the direction we’re heading in,” says director Stefano Poletti, whose collaborations include artists like Baustelle and The Zen Circus. “Despite everything, the seeds of hope remain—if we choose to nurture them.

Tha Flicker—comprised of vocalist and lyricist Giulia Capelluti and multi-instrumentalist Marco Ridolfi—brings a unique energy to the alternative pop scene. Their contrasting musical backgrounds and generations infuse their work with a rare depth, blending hypnotic electronic arrangements with raw, heartfelt vocals.

‘Faded Flowers’ reflects the fragility of beauty and the resilience required to preserve it,” explains Giulia, the 20-year-old powerhouse whose voice has already drawn comparisons to Billie Eilish. “It’s about acknowledging loss while refusing to give up.

About Tha Flicker

Formed in 2024, Tha Flicker emerged from the creative synergy between Capelluti, a singer-songwriter with a knack for emotive storytelling, and Ridolfi, a seasoned producer and instrumentalist. Their music transcends genres, merging alternative pop with rock and electronic influences to craft an immersive and introspective sonic experience.

“Faded Flowers” produced by Pietro Foresti, is the first single from their upcoming body of work, which promises to deliver more genre-defying tracks that explore the contradictions of modern life.

The video was premiered exclusively on I’m Music Magazine on January 10, 2025 and is now publicly available on Youtube.
