Flogging Molly rolled into Raleigh, NC at the Red Hat Amphitheater on June 21 and came blazing right out of the gate! A recording of The Who’s “Baba O’ Riley” was pumped through the pa system as the curtain of The Interrupters,‘ who had just played, was still hanging up. Towards the end of the song when Roger Daltrey screams “They’re all wasted,” that curtain fell to display Floggin Molly’s curtain. I have to say that lead vocalist Dave King has to be one of the most underrated frontpeople of all-time. The energy that he has is unbelievable and highly contagious. The way he commands a stage and interacts with the crowd is top notch in my book. There are so many bands that should take notes from him. The musicianship of the band is absolutely brilliant! Even if your significant other dragged you there against your will, we all know it happens sometimes, there is absolutely no way that you cannot have a good time at a Flogging Molly show! A Flogging Molly show is a 90 minute plus escapism of all of your troubles and worries. I’m Music Magazine Owner/Editor Johnny Price was on hand for the party and snapped these great shots!
