It’s hard to overstate the talent on stage at The Fillmore in Charlotte, N.C. on April 30; with a lineup consisting of Front Line Assembly, Gary Numan, and Ministry the bands brought so much energy to the venue that was matched by fans in the audience. Front start to finish there was never a dull moment — even when the power went out during the first song by Front Line Assembly, who opened the show.
What could have been a cause for concern, with a crowd full of metal fans, was anything but. Despite the short interruption during “I.E.D,” those in attendance waited patiently, cheering on the band (and the crew who worked to restore the power as quickly as possible) and they weren’t let down.
Although it was a shorter set, Front Line Assembly set the mood for the entire show with a blazing performance of industrial metal.
