GRAMMY-nominated duo BONES UK shares the video for “ME” from ‘SOFT’ out today via Sumerian Records with a video premiere on FLAUNT Magazine.

“ME” is an anthem of self-empowerment and individuality, capturing the highs and lows of the journey toward self-acceptance. In a world full of comparisons, the song confronts the challenge of staying true to oneself, encouraging you to embrace your personal strengths and flaws alike.

‘SOFT’ builds on the massive success of their 2019 self-titled debut, the unapologetically rebellious duo returns with a visceral, anthemic take on their future-rock mélange of swaggering guitars, gritty electronics, and love-yourself / think-for-yourself lyrics. The 11-tracks are bound by throughlines of massive hooks, bold stylistic cocktails, and empowering lyrics including collaborations with Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins and Mike Schuman of Queens of the Stone Age.

“It’s everything you loved about the first record, turned up,” said vocalist/guitarist Rosie Bones. “Keeping things scrappy, raw and real, with enough electronic beats to keep our industrial dance-heads happy and enough heartbreakers to keep our romantics listening.”

Written and recorded over five years in diverse locations including London, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Texas, the album reaches back to Stax and Motown influences, classic rock ‘n roll, and ‘90s electronica and song-based rock, ‘SOFT’ is a spirited “fuck you” to the status quo. The album opens with “BIKINIS” a track that showcases slinky grooves, sultry vocals, and evocative guitars, exploring body confidence and the celebration of diverse people. “WONT SETTLE” featuring Mike Schuman of Queens of the Stone Age pushes back against societal pressure to settle down, with raw guitars and an unapologetic message of independence. “FIX” explores the emotional turmoil of a toxic relationship, blending tortured guitars with haunting melodies while “KNEE DEEP” reflects on the weight of deep emotions, expressing a desire for emotional simplicity and a lighter heart through its soulful, introspective tone.

Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins co-wrote “Blood” and “Us” for the album. “Blood” delves into the idea of a deep, unbreakable connection that stays with you, while “Us” reflects on the act of letting go after a relationship ends. Corgan shared, “I truly enjoyed working with Carmen and Rosie on these songs. They are incredibly talented, and they inspired me to see my own music in a fresh way. I hope the world enjoys on this new record what I was lucky enough to witness in the studio.”
