Halestorm released their 5th studio album Back From the Dead on May 6, 2022 via Atlantic Records. We were stoked to catch them last week on September 10th at Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre in Charlotte, NC. This date was originally scheduled as part of their summer tour on July 30th but got postponed due to storms. On this special make-up date they had planned to play 2 full sets, one acoustic and one electric. Mother nature attempted to wreak havoc on this night as well, but the band wasn’t about to let that happen twice in a row!
Lzzy Hale followed by the rest of Halestorm came out full electric and ripped straight into “Back From the Dead”, the title track off their latest album. Not to be deterred by the rain that came pouring down just as the show started, the band continued on for a full 2 hour set, which included acoustic versions of songs like “I Like It Heavy” and a full piano medley of “Break In,” “Dear Daughter,” and “Raise Your Horns.” By the end of the show, this crowd had stayed fully packed absolutely all night in a downpour and could still be found on their feet and screaming during “The Steeple.”
