“Hey little Savior
Where have you been
I’ve been searching my whole life
For something I can believe in
Brave little Savior
If I let you in
Will you over my eyes wide open
And keep me safe from myself”
—Lyrics from “Savior”
Inside The Trojan Horse! The brand-new independent hard rock group – comprised of Jibe lead singer and solo artist Joe Grah, Charles Lee Salvaggio (Gemini Syndrome guitarist and Filter/Theory Of A Deadman bassist) and Pat Gerasia, drummer from Red Sun Rising and The Violent – has released their second single “Savior.” The self-produced track, mixed by Evan Rodinache (Lacey Sturm/Flyleaf, Escape The Fate, Powerman 5000), is a barrage of rapid riffing and drums culminating a scorching refrain, “I’ve always loved the Edge from U2’s style,” Charles notes. “He’s one of my favorite old-school guitar players. I was messing around with that vibe and the song just started flowing from there.” “The lyrics coupled with Charles’s riff almost evoke something on a spiritual level for me,” Joe says. “I always think of that song as a conversation between a would-be superhero and his loyal sycophants.” Listen HERE and Watch HERE the official self-directed music video for “Savior,” which first premiered with I’m Music Magazine.
“Now that our music is finally coming out, there’s an overwhelming sense of release, immediately followed by anticipation and apprehension as each month arrives with a new piece of our story unfolding into the world. Our approach to creation commands total transparency without regard to personal vulnerability in these moments of reflection.”
By piercing through the trickery of the exterior world, we uncover the real magic beneath. Inside The Trojan Horse master the art of sonic unpredictability. From behind ominous masks, the three-piece band dip in and out of moments of heavy groove-laden riffs, boundless progressive experimentation, and insidiously catchy melodies. Akin to Ancient Greece’s infamous strategy of “gifting” Troy a wooden horse loaded with soldiers, Inside The Trojan Horse surges with an intense, yet infectious element of surprise fueled by the union of singer Joe Grah aka NoOne, guitarist Charles Lee Salvaggio aka NoThing, and drummer Pat Gerasia aka NoBody.
Joe and Charles first unlocked their creative chemistry as members of Loser alongside guitar legend John 5 [Mötley Crüe, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson]. While on tour with Gemini Syndrome, Charles crossed paths with Pat and as he and Joe sowed the early seeds of Inside The Trojan Horse, they reached out to the drummer to round out the lineup. Under the influence of everyone from Soundgarden and Tool to Rage Against The machine and Deftones, they cultivated a signature and aesthetic without comparison, with the incendiary “Burn” being the first song the trio created together. When performing on stage, the guys of Inside The Trojan Horse will be in masks – making sure the experience is completely about the music and its message.
