Jinjer has been one of the hottest bands in metal the last few years. They had to put their touring on-hold temporarily here in the U.S. due to the fighting in their home country of Ukraine. The band was able to return to the touring curcuit here in the U.S. this year and shows have been selling out all over! The band made a stop in Greensboro, North Carolina playing at Piedmont Hall for the very first time on December 8. What an amazing night of live music! The show started off with Space Of Variations who are also from Ukraine and they really got the packed house fired up. Malevolence was next and they continued the onslaught of energy. The legendary P.O.D. were next and as always, these guys lit up the stage! Jinjer hit the stage to “Sit Stay Roll Over” and it was like throwing gasoline on a fire! The drowd surfing began within seconds and the security guards at the railing has their hands full (quite literally). The band paused briefly between songs and spoke of their country and the war before returning to delivering the songs. The band was tight and showed no signs of any stage rust. Lead vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk knows how to command a stage as well as an audience. She is a beast on that stage and it’s amazing how that much sonically can come out of her! The show was electric from beginning to end! I’m Music Magazine Owner/Editor Johnny Price Magazine Owner/Editor Johnny Price was there and brought back these bad-ass shots of the band in action!
