As a woman-in-rock hailing from Austin, TX, KATE ANGEL has made rock‘n’roll waves with her distinctive blend of pop-rock, alternative rock, and hard rock since 2020. Her journey gained momentum when Blue October’s Matt Noveskey recognized her talent, leading to their collaboration and co-production at Orb Recording Studios on KATE ANGEL’s debut EP “VENOM” in 2023, as well as her recent single “BLAME” released February 2024. The rock music industry took notice, and Kate Angel has opened for Icon For Hire, Black Heart Saints, and LILIAC, and is scheduled to open for Lacy Sturm, front woman for Flyleaf on July 16. Kate Angel has also been invited to numerous musical festivals, including recent 93.7 KLBJ FM 3-Day Rock Party during SXSW 2024.
Drawing inspiration from rock legends Evanescence, Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, and Paramore, KATE ANGEL’s lyrics and music embodies the soul of classic rock’n’roll with a 21st century twist while featuring emotive vocals and powerful instrumentation. Every Kate Angel song captivates music fans with its raw intensity and infectious energy with a blend of powerful electric guitars, driving drums, and pulsating basslines.
“I want my HALO fans to be energized, excited, inspired, all the while encouraging them to embrace their true selves and connect with others in today’s world.” Kate said. “My goal is to foster understanding and empathy, creating a world where individuals can express themselves freely and find solace in the power of music.”

“BLAME”, Kate Angel’s 2024 single release, resonates as a stirring rock anthem that dives deep into themes of self-reflection, personal struggle, and emotional resilience of a young woman’s relationship with her father. As she navigates the path to adulthood, she uncovers layers of familial affection juxtaposed with the strain of recurrent conflicts. Each riff of the guitar solo serves as an emotional conduit, building towards a crescendo accentuated by rich polyphonic vocals. Despite the undeniable bond they share, the song poignantly portrays the challenges she faces as she grapples with her father’s reluctance to acknowledge their shared responsibility for their discord. Through this musical journey, both father and daughter experience a profound moment of growth and mutual understanding.

“If Halestorm and Paramore had a musical love child, then it’s name would be Kate Angel. On the title track “VENOM” she shows her continued growth as a songwriter and musician. She has the sock and roll grit of a young Lzzy Hale of Halestorm plus the pop-punk attitude of Haley Williams of Paramore. “VENOM” is an infectious song as it hooks you in and you can’t help but start feeling the rhythm that runs through the track. We highly recommend her VENOM EP; she’s definitely an artist that you need to keep your eyes and ears on.”
— I’m Music Magazine
“VENOM”, title track of 2023 EP VENOM, narrates the tale of two friends who venture into a romantic relationship, only to discover its toxicity later on. The demise of their bond leaves behind bitter remnants. The chorus channels their frustration and fury, accentuated by the clash of distorted guitars against vocals. However, amidst the wreckage, the outro emerges as a symbol of resilience and empowerment, signifying the growth forged from the trials of their connection.
