The Defy The Sun Tour was a damn solid bill from top to bottom. The tour tour was headlined by Blacktop Mojo and also featured Otherwise, Lullwater and Kirra. It can be tough handling the opening slot on any tour, much less this one, but Kirra welcomed it head-on. Kirra was more than up for the challenge and delivered a set worthy of headline status. Lead vocalist Gabriel Parson has one of the coolest voices that we’ve heard in a while. Lead guitarist Daxton Page is also damn impressive as a lead guitarist. You combine those two with the rock solid rhythm team of bassist Ryne McNeill and drummer Zach Stafford and you have a band to keep your eyes and ears on. Their set at The Blind Tiger in Greensboro, North Carolina was short in minutes, it was long in stature. These guys rocked the room at The Blind Tiger and made quite a few new fans in the process.
