Co-headlining with Counting Crows on the Oneness tour, Santana played to a sold out crowd at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY on July 21, 2024. Santana wowed the audience with a set packed full of hits, including “Black Magic Woman,” “Evil Ways,” and for an encore, “Smooth.” Andy Vargas put on a stellar performance as both a singer, and also a rapper, along with Salvador Santana, during “Maria Maria.” The crowd was also treated to two spectacular solos, one keyboard solo from Salvador Santana, and one drum solo during the encore from Cindy Blackman Santana. And, as it turns out, Carlos Santana’s 77th birthday was the day before the show. They brought out a cake for him, and then it was the audience’s turn to perform, as they all came together to sing happy birthday for him.

At the end of the night, Santana left us with these words. “Our highest wish is for you to claim back your divinity, claim back your light.” He continued, “I believe that everyone here is worthy. We are all worthy to receive the highest. Claim it. Have fun with it.”
