Opening for Pop Evil on their Flesh & Bone Tour at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ on November 4, 2023, LYLVC (pronounced “Lilac”) came out of the gate with high energy, and even a few high kicks. Combining hard rock, hip-hop, and probably a few other genres, LYLVC takes the best of all and combines them into powerful songs that allow the audience to interact with the music in whatever way feels natural to them, whether that be dancing, headbanging, singing, or rapping.
I had never heard LYLVC before I went into this performance. I fully admit that I drove myself the three hours out to Asbury Park, NJ in order to hear Fame on Fire and Pop Evil, as I am quite the fan of both bands. That said, boy was I missing out! Watching LYLVC on stage and listening to their music, they very quickly became my favorite performance of the night, and I definitely added them to my playlists as soon as I got home. I would absolutely go see them again, and I look forward to the day I see them headline their own tour, as I have full confidence they will. Their sound is incredible, their performance is immaculate, and their music will crawl into your soul and bring you to your feet.
