For the first time since 2019 Canadian pop-rock band Marianas Trench is on a headlining tour and on Wednesday night (9/25), the band made a stop at the Fillmore Underground in Charlotte.

“The Vancouver-based four-piece band composed of Josh Ramsay, Matt Webb, Mike Ayley and Ian Casselman, has earned two certified double-platinum records, one platinum record, a certified gold-selling record and triple-platinum digital singles. They have also been awarded the 2013 JUNO Award for Group of the Year and achieved several chart-topping radio hits including “Stutter,”” Fallout” and “Who Do You Love.”

The energy at the show — just like the music — was electric and the venue was packed with fans eagerly awaiting to see the band play their favorite songs. As the lights dimmed and AC/DC‘s “Thunderstruck” pumped through the speakers the excitement from the crowd was at a fever pitch — and then the band took the stage and the crowd erupted into cheers, setting the tone for a night.

The smaller venue at The Underground made for an intimate show and let the fans get up close and personal with the band and the visuals — including a LED-lit jacket worn by Ramsay made for a fun atmosphere. The Forces of Nature tour is just getting started so there are plenty of dates left for fans to get a chance to see the band — and plenty of chances for the band to see their fans.

“There is no greater feeling than the thunderous roar of thousands of Trenchers permeating our eardrums when we set foot on stage to perform,” Webb said. “We have longed for this feeling, dearly, over the last few years, and are f&*king thrilled to be back with the Force of Nature tour, coming to a city near you soon!”

The band recently released their newest album Haven, which is available to stream on most major streaming sites.

Marianas Trench delivered a performance that left fans buzzing, and made for a night that will surely be remembered by everyone who attended. If you have the chance to see them live, don’t miss it—this band knows how to put on a show! The band played an impressive 20-song set that included songs from six different albums, giving fans a good mix of the music they’ve come to know and love.
