Matt Nathanson is out on the road opening for Matchbox Twenty on their Slow Dream Tour. The tour stopped at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park of Walnut Creek in Raleigh, North Carolina on July 12, 2023. Not only did Matt compose a setlist full of surprises, the guy also surprised us with his sense of humor. He’s a lot funnier than some stand-ups that we can gone to see! He commented on the way the venue was designed so that the musicians would be staring directly at the sun as it was going down in the evening while they were performing. He also joked with a woman in the first couple of rows who ws on her phone at the beginning of the show. He said she must be googling ‘who the hell is Matt Nathanson’ and that he was on her side and he understood. The crowd did a lot of singing and dancing, despite the insanely hot and humid evening and they also did alot of unexpected laughing!
