On September 19th, two powerhouse acts—My Morning Jacket and Nathaniel Rateliff—joined forces for an unforgettable night of music at Ascend Amphitheater in downtown Nashville.
Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats took the stage first, delivering a set that highlighted Rateliff’s signature blend of soul, folk, and rock. Rateliff’s raspy, heartfelt vocals cut through the night air, paired with tight horn sections and punchy rhythms that brought the music to life. The band’s performance of “S.O.B.,” a crowd favorite, turned the amphitheater into a massive sing-along, with Rateliff leading the charge as the audience belted out the chorus.
When My Morning Jacket took the stage, the atmosphere shifted. Known for their genre-bending sound and electrifying live performances, the Kentucky-based band delivered a set filled with atmospheric rock, swirling guitars, and mind-bending jams that transported the audience on a sonic journey. Frontman Jim James, donned in his signature flowing attire, was a mesmerizing presence. His ethereal voice echoed across the amphitheater. Maggie Rogers joined My Morning Jacket on stage for a rendition of Carol King’s “I Feel the Earth Move.” For those lucky enough to attend, this was an experience they won’t soon forget—a perfect example of the magic that happens when two incredible acts share the stage in Music City.
