It had been several years since New Years Day played in Greensboro, North Carolina and lead singer Ash Costello made note of that early in their set to a SOLD-OUT audience at Arizona Pete’s in Greensboro, North Carolina on October 22. There was a last minute venue change which was probably a good thing given the size of the crowd that attended. The night opened with Shakey Deville followed by Dying Oath, Waking Terra and then NYD’s direct support LYLVC. Wow! All of these bands did an amazing job and really got everyone pummped up! New Years Day hit the stand and opened with “Come For Me” followed by lots of New Years Day favorites including “Malevolence,” their cover of Pantera’s “Fucking Hostile” and their latest single “Hurts Like Hell.” Ash looked and sounded great and really interacted with the crowd. People in the crowd were singing along, crowd surfing and even moshing at one point. Several people told us that they thought the show was awesome and that they hoped they didn’t have to wait so long to see them in Greensboro, North Carolina again.
