Nita Strauss is currently on the road with her band opening for Apocalyptica for the next month. We were so excited to catch Nita Strauss and her band a few days before this tour started when they played a full headline show at Hangar 1819 in Greensboro, NC. This is a small venue and even in the frigid temps that February has to offer, we got there to see a HUGE line of fans outside anxiously waiting to get in for the show!
Getting the crowd pumped up that night included 2 incredible bands. First off was Pageant, which is a 4 piece solid rock & roll band straight out of North Carolina. Up next included a fully ass kicking set by Mistress of Puppets, which is an all female tribute to Metallica. Both of these bands had the full crowd headbanging and fists in the air.
There was a lot of excitement in the room when Nita Strauss finally hit the stage. I have to mention this, due to this tour, Nita was unable to make a 2-week tour that Alice Cooper had also scheduled. This concert however, had absolute perfect timing. The night before most of the people in the crowd actually got to see Alice playing right down the road (Don’t worry, we were there too!) but they all showed up for Nita Strauss the very next night. This shows how powerful she is, how extremely talented she is, and how much fans absolutely love her. Nita Strauss did not disappoint at all and put on amazing show for the fans attending. She even made sure to hang out after just to meet everyone. This is not something a lot of artists do, but she absolutely loves her fans just as much as they all adore her.
