“Forget You” is the newest single from Florida hard-rockers Voxx. The song is accompanied by a music video which features somber, emotional imagery centered around its’ protagonist watching a stack of television screens replaying memories from a happier time. The video goes hand in hand with the song’s depth. “Forget You” creates a deep atmosphere, the grief and epilogue after losing a loved one and wishing to move on, but it does this in style with a catchy chorus not unlike something you’d hear in the pop-punk genre although make no mistake, Voxx is without a doubt a heavy rock act. This is proven with the skillful instrumentation carrying the single, the distorted riffs, aggressive vocals, and low bass notes with heart-pounding drumbeats emphasizing the song.
Voxx released another single earlier this year, and prior to that, their first EP materialized back in 2019, with several singles released in between which had earned the group acclaim on music sites like Reverbnation & even on the Billboard Top 40 Mainstream Rock charts. With the hype and impact of “Forget You,” it will be exciting to see what Voxx shares next.
