The Freaks On Parade 2023 Tour consists of Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, Ministry and Filter. Zombie doesn’t have a new album out and you don’t need to these days in order to tour. Alice has a new one and it’s a damn good one, but he doesn’t play a single track from it. Regardless, this tour is packing venues regardless of what night of the week that it is. It made a stop in Raleigh, North Carolina on August 29, 2023 at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek. It was never officially called a SOLD-OUT show, but you could have fooled me. There wasn’t an empty seat to be found anywhere and the entire lawn section was packed elbow to elbow. Zombie delivers a high paced show and he barely slows down on the stage zipping back and form during his entire set. His stage was a visual fest for the eyes and that’s not even counting his bursts of pyro that he uses. Mike Riggs is back on guitar taking the place of John 5 who left to be in Motley Crue. The fun fact about that is that John 5 took the place of Riggs when he left so things have come full circle. Zombie’s setlist covered his entire career including two White Zombie tracks. We haven’t had so much fun at a show in a long time! Alice Cooper delivers one hell of a show and really sets the bar high for Zombie. I’m not sure if Zombie topped Cooper, but it was at least a draw with both artists delivering damn powerful headline material shows and more than you usually get for your hard earned money these days. A setlist follows our photo gallery.
