Ryan Jay from Metro Detroit, MI., is a hardworking, fearless and proud singer-songwriter, who started playing guitar back in 2002. This led him to being in a metal band, touring the East Coast and Canada in 2004. Come 2012, Ryan began his country music journey touring all across the United States and he has a new single and video, “Blame It On The Jack”, dropping August 30, 2024.
With this new single and video, “Blame It On The Jack”, Ryan shares a very personal time in his life, “I actually started writing this song a few years ago during my struggles with alcoholism. Being sober now from alcohol, I reflected on my past and decided to finally finish it and release it in hopes to shed light on alcohol abuse and the negative effects it can have on relationships and life.”
Some of Ryan’s musical influences include Eric Church, Cody Jinks and Metallica, which strongly reflects how he views his music, “My music is bold, honest and sincere. Most of my songs are about my life and what I’ve been through or going through at the current time.” He continues, “Blame It On The Jack”, is specifically a bold statement driven through country music with a hard edge.”
Ryan is currently wrapping up recording a full-length debut album. You can see him live, August 31st at Arts, Beats and Eats in Royal Oak, MI., with Dustin Lynch, Cadillac Three, Runaway June and Rob Stone.
He will also be at the Josie Awards on October 27, 2024, at Grand Old Opry, Nashville, TN., where he has 5 nominations.
The sky is the limit for Ryan Jay. With his unending perseverance and tenacity, Ryan has his eye on being on a national tour and doing a live performance on Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel.
