Shinedown is currently on The Revolutions Live Tour. The tour started on September 3rd in St. Louis, MO and will run through October 20th in Denver, CO. For this tour, the band brought along Papa Roach and Spiritbox. We were excited to get the chance to catch this incredible line up when the tour rolled into CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park in Simpsonville, SC back on September 26th.

We were met with a huge crowd of course excitedly waiting to get into the venue when we arrived that evening. Even though it’s an outside venue, it was still plenty warm in late September for this show. When Spiritbox hit the stage shortly after the gates opened, everyone was already ready to rock. People were cheering, headbanging, there were even some balloons being passed around the crowd during Spiritbox’s set.

The sun had just gone down when Papa Roach came up on stage next. But no worries, they definitely lit up the crowd with an incredible hour long set that had some new tracks but also lots of everyone’s favorite hits. The fans were singing along all night for Papa Roach.

When Shinedown hit the stage, the venue was PACKED!! And everyone was at their seats eagerly awaiting. Though not IN their seats. Definitely not. You can’t sit down at a rock show and this crowd was definitely up and ready to get moving! As with some previous tours, some video footage of the band was displayed on the screens behind the stage ahead of their show that got everyone pumped up. When Shinedown actually walked out on stage, everyone was going crazy.

Shinedown dove into “Diamond Eyes” for the 1st song of their set, which always gets crowds pumped up, and this one was no different. Of course they added in some smoke and sparks and a few big booms through out the song. It wouldn’t be a Shinedown show without that, right? Everything turned red and sparks were flying at the back of the stage as the band started playing “Dead Don’t Die” next, which is off of their latest album Planet Zero.

Probably my favorite moment from the night is when I saw a piano high above the stage floating down. Shortly after, Eric Bass would sit down at the piano to start playing the opening notes of “I’ll Follow You.” The band played a beautiful performance of this song, which also included a guitar solo from on top of the piano by Zach Myers. Really, every single track was a new show in itself and I love that about Shinedown
