Solarist, from Greenville, SC just released a cover of the Nirvana classic, “Heart Shaped Box” that can be heard exclusively on You Tube. The band pays homage and stays pretty faithful to the original version. The overall sound is definitely on the heavier side. Vocalist Tom Carden’s raspy and gritty voice does give the track its own identity, much like Seether did with their cover of the George Michael classic, “Careless Whisper.”
